Berlin, rich in history and culture

The fabulous capital of Germany is an interesting and very important historical setting for understanding the history of Europe and the world. Berlin is the most populated city in the country and is also a constituent state. It has 12 districts, but most attractions for visitors are located in the center of the city such as Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, Prenzlauer Berg, Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg and Mitte.

In Berlin, there are always events for art, culture or music lovers, but summer is the perfect season to enjoy different activities. Although it is thought that summer lasts a short time, this does not get in the way of enjoying so many attractions that this wonderful city offers.

Among the activities offered during the months of June and August is the “International Berlin Beer Festival,” very similar to “Oktoberfest” held in Munich, and also hailed by German beer lovers. This long-awaited event takes up a large part of Karl-Marx-Allee avenue.

In summer, the city has a pleasant and sunny atmosphere. Notably, temperatures can exceed 86ºF; rain shows up throughout the rest of the year, which are the months with the highest rainfall.
